*भाषा संप्रेषण का सशक्त माध्यम है।* डीपीएस रेवाड़ी में 17अप्रैल2023से 21अप्रैल2023तक कक्षा तीसरी से पांचवीं कक्षा के विद्यार्थियों के लिए *हिंदी सप्ताह* का आयोजन किया गया। इसके अंतर्गत हिंदी भाषा की भिन्न भिन्न विधाओं से संबंधित रचनात्मक क्रिया कलाप आयोजित किए गए। बच्चों के भाषा कौशल में विकास हेतु पठन, सुलेख लेखन,श्रुतलेख,प्रकृति से संबंधित कविता का (कविता पाठ )आदि रचनात्मक गतिविधियां करवाई गई।सभी विद्यार्थियों ने हिंदी सप्ताह की सभी गतिविधियों में उत्साह पूर्वक भाग लिया ।

Earth Day Celebration 2023

On this Earth Day Celebration, the students pledged to do their part to preserve the environment and protect our Earth.

An array of creative activities (colouring, slogan writing, poster making) was organised for classes III, IV and V with a view to sensitise the students about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful.

YOGA for Health

“Healthy Mind resides in healthy body.”

The students of class 1 learned the importance of Yoga to keep our body and mind, fit and healthy.

A fun filled session on the topic ‘ This/That was conducted in class I
All the students participated enthusiastically and understood new concept explicitly through different activities based on the topic conducted in the class.

English Fest (Class IV)

“A Drama is Life with the dull bits cut out. It is an important tool for preparing students to live and work in a world that is increasingly TEAM-ORIENTATED rather than hierarchical. Drama also helps students develop TOLERANCE and EMPATHY. “
Students of class IV participated and showcased impeccable artistry in personifying various fictional roles. The stagecraft was impeccable and appreciable.
The titles of the plays were-
1. Aladdin and the magical lamp
2. Snow-white and seven dwarfs
3. Gopal Bhand can count the stars
4. Hansel and Gretel
The event was a huge success and all the spectacular performances were enjoyed, appreciated and acknowledged with great support by parents.

SPORTS DAY 2022 - 2023 (Class IV)

“A robust mind and a lively body is the fundamental requirement to live a long and happy life.”
In continuation to the Sports League, Annual Sports Day for class IV was organised on 4th February, 2023 , to enlighten the audience about merits of living a fit and healthy life. It comprised various exciting activities like-

The day exhibited brute strength, sheer endurance and an excellent team coordination. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.

ENGLISH FEST 2022 (Class III)

“Dramatics is where art and culture thrives. It is all about capturing moments, portraying the untold reality and feeling the thrill of the unknown.”
Yet another wonderful presentation by the students of Class III as they demonstrated exquisite theatrical plays with full energy and passion. The students dressed up in beautiful costumes and portrayed characters from English stories and tales. Their enactment was indeed appreciable.
The titles of the plays were-
3A- The Selfish Giant
3B- The Pied Piper of Hamelin
3C – Healthy Habits
The event focused on improving the gestures, creativity, stage-craft and confidence.
The aspiring dramatists stole the heart of one and all with their comic timing, confidence, clarity and sterling performance.

Sports Day 2022 (Class V)

In continuation to the Sports League , Annual Sports Day was conducted for the students of class V on 10th December, 2022. It was a day filled with fervour and excitement experienced amidst thrills, shrills and cheers. The displays made way for the highly awaited athletic events with competitiveness. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes.

ENGLISH FEST (Class V)

Aiming towards experiential learning and building self confidence, English Plays were presented by the students of class V on 10th December 2022, which showcased impeccable artistry in personifying various roles inspired by day to day life. We believe that the young minds should explore beyond the four walls and performing arts is the apt medium for it. The event also aimed at giving students the opportunity to experiment with their ideas, explore their surroundings, experience new situations and express their viewpoints.
The titles of the plays were –
5A- Humanity
5B- The Everlasting Bond
5C – The merchant of Venice
5 D- Around the world in 80 days
5E- Alibaba and the Forty Thieves
The students indeed unlocked the horizons of extreme creativity with their active participation.

FUN TRIP 2022

The cheerful, excited and curious youngsters of classes Nur to V visited Rangmanch Farms, Gurugram on 27th November , 2022. Under the vigilant supervision of teachers, all the students enjoyed adventurous sports activities coulped with various exciting rides.
On reaching the venue, they enthusiastically explored the alluring beauty and bounties of nature. They got a glimpse of the beautiful flora and fauna , including quite a few exotic birds, pottery area and enjoyed the 41+ adventurous activities. It was an experience par excellence. They also relished sumptuous breakfast, lunch and snacks.
The ‘joy de vivre’ of the students was brimming with the spirit of positivity. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the children to strengthen their bonds and everyone felt rejuvenated.

SPORTS DAY 2022

Aimed at shaping well-groomed individuals, quality health and physical education programs, Annual Sports Day 2022 was organised for the students of classes 1 & 2 on 26th November, 2022 . The day emulated more brightness and jubilation as the Principal , Vice Principal, Teachers and Parents gathered in the school ground to witness the youngest dipsites exhibit their mastery of skills and concepts in physical wellbeing through their active participation.
The audience witnessed the various displays of the bountiful series of events like – frog race, balloon race, shuttle race, lemon race etc. The parents too participated in the races and put their heart into emerging as the victorious team as they were cheered upon by their kids. The day concluded with honouring the winners with medals for their unsurpassed sportsmanship.
It was indeed a power-packed and enthralling day which was enjoyed by all.

Japanese/German Celebration Week 2022

To encourage students to interact and communicate and to instil characteristics like sharing, respecting, collaborating, cooperating with others and creating a meaningful context for language learning , students of classes III to V celebrated Japanese & German week from 21st to 26th November. They enjoyed a variety of activities that were centered around their respective language and its related cultures.
Following activities took place during the week:
-Japanese Origami craft
-German Schultüte ( school cone) craft
-Christmas card, Good luck Card, Advent Calendar making
-Movie in Japanese and German
Students were too excited and joyful as they enjoyed every moment of these fun-filled and knowledgeable activities.

GURUPURAB CELEBRATION 2022

Guru Nanak Jayanti was celebrated with great exuberance, pride and gaiety . A special assembly was conducted by the students of classes Nursery to 5 to mark the occasion. They came dressed in traditional Sikh attire and recited Gurbani. The teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji were also shared with them through various speeches and prayers. They were encouraged to follow the path of universal brotherhood and peace to promote national integration and communal harmony. This was an effort to inculcate moral values in the students and to make them aware about the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It was a great enriching experience for all.

Bhajan Sandhya 2022

To awake the blessings of almighty a spiritual ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ was organized on 2 Oct 2022 in the school premises exclusively for the Grandparents of Pre- Primary wing. The event commenced with lamp lighting ceremony by the special guests, Grand parents,
Principal Sunita Chopra, Vice- Principal Deepika Chawla. Bhajan Manadli, Divine Choir added unparalleled mesmerizing sheen in the ambiance of DPS Rewari. Words are less to explain ecstatic feelings infused by the melodious hymns of Divine Choir. The tiny tots of Nursery presented scintillating dance moves on the track of devotional songs. The students of class Prep and class I presented wonderful power packed dance performances. The English enactment of Magnam opus ‘ Ramayana’ by the students of class 2 added keiladoscopic dimensions in the glory of the event. To conclude the whole event was a grand success and all the parents applauded the earnest endeavors of the students and school.

Teacher's Day Celebration 2022

On the auspicious occasion of Teacher’s Day, students of Class III to VIII conducted assembly with enthusiasm and loads of love for their teachers.
The students displayed their sincere gratitude towards the teachers by singing mesmerizing songs, scintillating dance performances, thoughtful speeches and rhythmic poems. In an impressive way, talented students did the mimicry of the teachers which added fun and frolic to the event in an iridescent manner.

Handwriting Practice

Handwriting practice reinforces the reading and language processing skills. It allows time to slow down the thought process enabling the writer to think about the words, how they are spelt and the structure of the writing, all making the writer more adept at the language they are using.
Handwriting Competition was organised for the students of classes I to II. They participated in it with a lot of zeal and excitement. The objective of this competition was to motivate students to enhance their writing skills. It provided a platform for them to showcase their writing competency and develop their fine motor skills.

Science Lab Activity

A laboratory is always considered as a relevant and essential part so far as the teaching of Science is concerned. Students who engage in well-designed lab experiences develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, as well as gain exposure to reactions, materials, and equipment in a lab setting. Keeping this in view, students of classes 3 – 8  had an experiential learning session at Biology and Chemistry lab of our school..

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2022

On the occasion of INDEPENDENCE DAY, Class Nur & PREP celebrating our 75th INDEPENDENCE DAY with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour to pay tribute to those who fought for our freedom as freedom fighters.

Maths Activity Week

“Millions saw the apple fall but only Newton asked ‘WHY?’. Perfect Mathematicians just love to try unsolved problems..they love a challenge.”

In an effort to lay a strong foundation of Math on the concluding day of MATHEMATICS WEEK, students of classes III to VIII showcased their creativity by participating in activities like – bingo, numerical rainbow, learning factors, lattice method, role-play, dark room shadow activity, maths puzzles etc.

The activities performed, activated an appropriate mental model that facilitated the acquisition of the new set of interrelated skills.
The week-long celebrations enticed everyone towards the subject, encouraged young learners to get involved, dispelled Math phobia and developed their interest.

Mother's Day Celebration

The day that recognizes the essence of a mother was celebrated in high spirits and merriment on 8th May,2022 . This being one of those occasions that none of us could afford to miss was zealously enjoyed by the students of classes Nursery to 1 along with their mothers. They passionately got involved in fun-filled activities and games like- Ramp walk, one minute games, tambola etc. , which were organised by the teachers. Gifts and titles were also presented to them. It was an enjoyable and memorable day for everyone as they took back fond memories of a day well spent.

SPELL BEE COMPETITION

It is rightly said that “Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It also helps to cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.”
Keeping this in view, a spell bee activity was organised for the students of class III. It was one of the numerous enjoyable activities that gave students a platform to learn spellings in different ways. It helped them improve their spellings, increase vocabulary, learn concepts, and develop the use of correct English. Everyone participated earnestly in the same.

MASTER CHEF ACTIVITY

To exhibit perfect culinary skills, the students of classes Nursery to X participated in MASTER CHEF activity with full zeal and enthusiasm as they doled out nutritious yet delectable delicacies, without using fire . The food presentation skills displayed were a visual treat and were presented in an artistic and aesthetic style.
The activity not only provided a platform for the students to foster their creativity and decision making skills but also helped them to explore their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest.

Earth Day Celebration

“Earth is our home. We rely upon it for our existence in many different ways. It’s resources feed us and provide everything for a healthy life. It’s definitely our duty to protect it in every way possible..”
On this Earth Day (22nd April) , the students of classes Nursery to 8 took a pledge to do their part to preserve the environment and protect our Earth by planting beautiful saplings and creating awareness. An array of creative activities was organised with a view to sensitise the children about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful.

English Language Day Celebration

English Language Day (observed annually on 23rd April) aims to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity by exploring the language. It also marks the occasion of William Shakespeare’s birth anniversary as well as his death anniversary.
Students of classes 3 to 5 paid tribute to the famous writer by conducting a special assembly which included various performances like – poem recitation, dramatic monologue , story telling sessions, interesting speeches etc.
The celebration aimed to entertain as well as inform, with the goal of increasing awareness and respect for the history and culture of the English Language and the achievements of the innumerable writers, poets and playwrights.
It was an immensely eventful day.

Founder's Day

On the occasion of 19th Founder’s Day of the school, our tiny tots of class I and II made vivid and vibrant origami with the words ‘I am a Proud Dipsite’ written on perfectly shaped creative creations . It was a wonderful opportunity to show-case their artistic skills and make memories out of them. Let’s enjoy the glimpses.

Easter Celebration

Drawing and Craft jogs a child’s memory. To teach Easter vocabulary to the students and to make them understand German traditions, Easter card making and craft activity was done with class 5 and 6 German learners. Here are few glimpses of their startling work.

Baisakhi Celebration

To imbibe in our students the values and ethos of culture and community, Baisakhi ‘The Festival of Harvest ’ , was celebrated by class I. The classrooms were aptly decorated depicting the harvest season. The students were also enlightened about the origin and value of celebrating Baisakhi. They made colourful turbans to mark this day and were overjoyed to carry back home as a takeaway.

Dental Check Up

A smile is your unique accessory and pearly white teeth make it even more beautiful. If you want to keep the aching tooth away and want to keep those pearly whites intact, taking good care of your teeth is a must.

English Activity

An interesting session on ‘Noun’ ( English Grammar) was conducted in class I on 14 July 2022.
All the students participated enthusiastically and understood new concept explicitly through the fun based activity on the topic.

First Day In School

Beginning another amazing academic session with enthralling and vivacious students entering in full swing to learn, cherish and
explore a new horizon of life.

The students of classes Nursery to II were engaged in welcome activities like singing rhymes, dance sessions, colouring and origami. They crowned themselves with little tiaras made by them. The school corridors indeed became brighter and lively with their presence!

GRADUATION DAY CELEBRATION : 2022

Delhi Public School, Rewari celebrated Graduation Day on 26th March, 2022 to applaud the young enthusiastic learners of classes II and V. The event commenced with lamp lighting ceremony to evoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The Principal extended a warm welcome to the parents and also highlighted vision of the school and role of parents and teachers in the students’ learning process. The graceful tiny tots of kindergarten and Primary School displayed mesmerising and scintillating dance performances.

The most important part of the day was the felicitation of young graduates wherein the delighted tiny tots of Class II and young learners of Class V bedecked with sashes graced the stage.The excellent synergy of the School Band infused a feeling of pride and achievement among the young graduates which was truly fascinating.The programme culminated with the ‘Vote of Thanks’ by the Headmistress and followed by the National Anthem. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for everyone.

Sports Day of Class 5

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important key to a healthy body, but also the basis of a dynamic and creative intellectual activity.”

In continuation to the Annual Sports League – 2022, students of Class 5 enjoyed another exhilarating day on 24th March,2022 with zest. Myriads of sports activities were organised in which 100% participation of the students was ensured. The sports meet fostered the confidence level of the students with words of appreciation.They were also felicitated with prizes and medals.
It was indeed a thrilling experience for all the students.

Sports Day Class 4

Sports and games offer children a promising change from the monotony of daily schedule. They are also a useful means of entertainment and physical activity for them. Keeping this in view, a plethora of Sports activities were organised for class 4 on 23rd March,2022. Students participated with great zeal and excitement.
They entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the Sports teacher. An energizing march past display set the tone for the rest of the event. They participated in lemon race, three-leg race, relay race etc. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. The atmosphere indeed became frolicsome.

Sports Day Class 3

Sport teaches you how to play by the rules. It shows you how to win and how to lose.

Students of class 3 enthusiastically participated in the various sports events held at school on 22nd March’ 2022 and won medals in different categories.
Kids had a refreshing time after the exams.

Zoo Yoga

Five days long ZOO-Yoga was held in DPS Rewari for nursery grade to 2nd grade.

The Yoga session conducted by psychological counselor Mrs. Nitika Teotia , was specially designed & structured for small children. The students of DPS Rewari learnt the yoga techniques which would help them to improve their concentration & focus.

Students were taught different asanas through animal postures such as Tadasana through giraffe posture, badhakonasana through butterfly posture and many others.

The main aim was to awareness & ignites passion for fitness & yoga among students. In present day when students face anxiety, fear, stress etc, simple asanas or animal postures can help dispel these.

Overall our all students enjoyed and had fun to try different animal postures with Zoo story and we truly looking forward to conduct other yoga related future event in our school.

MY PASSPORT TO THE WORLD

Students of Class Prep participated in an interesting activity – ‘My Passport to the World’ held on 11th August 2018. Children came dressed as natives of different countries and spoke a few lines about that country. The aim of the activity was to make the students know about of the cultures and dresses of different countries around the globe.

YOGA SESSION

Yoga has acclaimed world wide recognition due to its healing exercises and aasanas. Students of Class II were taught different Yoga postures by their sports teacher. The activity aimed at motivating the students to include Yoga in their daily routine in order to stay fit and healthy.

EXPERIMENTS ON AIR AND WATER

Students of Class Prep initiated their experience with science by doing small experiments in their class on 30th April 2018. The teachers explained the concepts of ‘Air occupies space’ and ‘Water is a universal solvent’ through simple experiments. It was amazing to see the tiny tots participating in the activity with great curiosity and enthusiasm.

Zoo Yoga

Five days long ZOO-Yoga was held in DPS Rewari for nursery grade to 2nd grade.

BHAJAN SANDHYA

A Bhajan Sandhya was organized in the school premises in the evening of 13 October 2018. Grandparents of Classes I to V were invited to witness the blissful musical evening. Exquisite bhajans sung by the choir group mesmerized the audience. One of the grandparent also presented a melodious bhajan. The entire aura beamed with positivity and bliss. Principal Ms. Sunita Chopra addressed the gathering and stressed upon the need to restore our culture and upholding its value system.

SPORTS DAY

While the students of the senior block were busy in participating in selection events of different sports organized by District Administration, students of classes Nursery to II celebrated Sports Day by participating in a one kilometer walk on 29th August 2018.

Investiture Ceremony

Investiture Ceremony for the Junior School was held in the month of July. Different positions including House Captains, House Vice-Captain, Prefects, Student Volunteer etc. were bestowed upon the qualified candidates. The newly appointed members of the Student Council  took an oath to carry out their responsibility with full dedication.

SCIENCE EXHIBITION

The annual Science Exhibition was held in the school premises on 10 Feb 2018 with a view to encourage and inculcate scientific temper amongst the students. The event witnessed young enthusiastic participation from classes I to V. The exhibition was organized in different categories- Going back to village, Scientists in the Kitchen, Illusion, Science and Technology, Magic With Science, Astronomy, Hydrodynamics, Aerodynamics were to name a few. It was amazing to see the budding talent presenting their models with great confidence. Eminent persons from different fields were invited as Judges for the exhibition. The exhibition came to an end with award distribution to the winners.

PLANTATION DRIVE

Students of Primary block participated in a plantation drive in the school on the occasion of Earth Day. Children planted saplings in small pots and took pledge to take care of them. The aim of the activity was to spread awareness towards the need to have a greener earth.

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN

A cleanliness activity with the name ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’ was celebrated in the school on 29th July 2017 for the students of class III to V. Students brought dusters with them and cleaned their classrooms and their desks. The aim of the activity was to inculcate the habit of cleanliness among the children.

SHOW AND TELL

A ‘Show and Tell’ activity was organized for the students of class I on 15th January 2018 based on the theme ‘Seasons’. Students brought different theme related props with them and spoke a few line or short rhymes based on them. The activity aimed at inculcating good communication skills in the students and also to remove their stage fear.
