SENIOR SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

FUN TRIP 2022

The cheerful, excited and curious youngsters of classes VI to VIII visited Rangmanch Farms, Gurugram on 27th November , 2022. Under the vigilant supervision of teachers, all the students enjoyed adventurous sports activities coulped with various exciting rides.
On reaching the venue, they enthusiastically explored the alluring beauty and bounties of nature. They got a glimpse of the beautiful flora and fauna , including quite a few exotic birds, pottery area and enjoyed the 41+ adventurous activities. It was an experience par excellence. They also relished sumptuous breakfast, lunch and snacks.
The ‘joy de vivre’ of the students was brimming with the spirit of positivity. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the children to strengthen their bonds and everyone felt rejuvenated.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2022

Young ambassadors of DPS Rewari celebrated grand occasion of ‘ Azadi ka Amritmahotsav’ on 75 Independence day with Vim and vigour steeped in the feeling of pride being Indian. The air of campus throbbed with invigorating slogan of ‘Vande Matram’ and patriotic songs in praise of freedom fighters. The Principal, Sunita Chopra and Vice Principal, Deepika Chawla motivated students to always stand stoically and stay attuned for the dynamic progress and development of the nation in the changing times. GURU PURINIMA CELEBRATION

“Guru is a pillar of strength, wisdom and love, a gift of God sent from the heaven above.”To acknowledge the contribution of gurus and mentors in shaping the personalities and providing continuous support , students of classes III to VIII celebrated Guru Purnima with great reverence on 13th July,2022. The assembly began with a happy note with students singing the Guru Stuti and aarti, followed by a beautiful speech that highlighted the necessity of ‘Gurus’. It also comprised Doha Recitation, Chanting Shloks, poems and various other speeches. The assembly was concluded with gaiety all around. We wish everyone a HAPPY GURU PURNIMA !

CELEBRATION OF YOGA DAY 2022

India’s rich legacy of culture and heritage was enjoyed by young ambassadors of DPS Rewari on 21 June 2022 with vim and vigour at Rajangla Shahid Samark in Rewari.
The budding Yoga aspirants performed different yoga Mudras like Surya Namaskar, Dhanurasana Asana, Vakrasana Asana, Bhujangasana asana and many more to enjoy the essence of yoga for mental and physical fitness.

It was indeed an enthralling and spectacular view to witness future global citizens performing yoga asans as vigilant health conscious global citizens.

Students also participated in an interesting ‘Clay modelling activity’ in which they created beautiful clay models depicting different yog asans to create awareness about yoga.

Paudhagiri -Haryana

Another proud initiation by DPS Rewari, ‘Paudhagiri -Haryana’ under the guidance of Government of India. As a part of initiation, students of classes VI-XII were given Geotag plants by District Forest Department which they have to take care and update its growth online on regular basis.

Key Chain Making activity.

Showing their innovation and creativity in different fields of learning… students of class VI participated in the’Key Chain Making’ activity.

Monogram Making activity

“In a very happy mood,
Enjoying our childhood,
Uniquely our Monograms stood”… students of class VII participated in the’Monogram Making’ activity.

Fridge Magnet Making activity.

“We amaze all by our creativity,
We take everything seriously,
Whether it be study or activity”….. students of class VIII participated in the’ Fridge Magnet Making’ activity.

Movie Time

Taking out time from the monotonous schedule,an enjoyable movie trip of ‘Avengers-End Game’ was oganized for the students of classes VI-X where the students spent quality time with their friends.

Earth in Our Solar System

Using yet another innovative way of learning, students of class VI participated in the PowerPoint Presentations on the topic’Earth in Our Solar System’as Subject Enrichment Activity(Social Studies)

Mathematics Club Activities

सामूहिक संस्कृत श्लोक उच्चारण गतिविधि कक्षा सातवी सी के सभी विद्यार्थियों द्वारा सम्पन्न हुई।सभी ने बेहतर सीखा।श्लोकों के अर्थ को अभिनय युक्त दृष्टांतों के माध्यम से प्रदर्शित करना प्रभावी था।
संस्कृत भाषा के प्रति विद्यार्थियों की यह रूचि भविष्य में नैतिक मूल्यों को और सुदृढ़ करने में अति लाभकारी सिद्ध होगी।

Celebrating the contribution of different scientists in the field of science, Class 7 students participated in science club activity.

Relay Race

Maths Club Activity “Relay Race” was conducted on 6th April 2019 for all the sections of class VIII with 100% participation. The students were full of enthusiasm. The winners were: Jiya Arora (VIII -B), Sourabh (VIII – C) & Manya Singhal (VIII – C). A heartiest congratulations to proud Dipsites…..

DPS Rewari Celebrated National Integration Week with Zest

DPS Rewari Celebrated Quami Ekta Week from 19th to 25th NOV, 2018 to instil the value of brotherhood, nonviolence, tolerance among the students and foster the communal harmony and pride in vibrant and diverse culture of India among the students.

The week long celebrations included speech on National Integration, Kavi Smmelan to appreciate the linguistic heritage, group song and a skit highlighting the importance of Women in the Indian Society and their role in the national building. The activities were held during special assemblies where the students from various classes participated in the activities with great vigour and enthusiasm.

INTRA CLASS DANCE COMPETITION

An Intra Class Dance Competition was held on 28th April 2018 in the school premises for the students of Class VII. The theme of the competition was ‘Devotion to Almighty’. Children presented vivacious dances based on spiritual and sufi songs.

FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATION

Students of Classes VI to VIII celebrated the Founder’s Day by participating in a Drawing Competition. The competition was based on the theme ‘My School, My Pride’. Students expressed their love for the school in the form of beautiful and colourful drawings.

INTRA CLASS SINGING COMPETITION

The rhythm and the beats of the Intra Class Singing Competition resonated around the school premises on 28th April 2018. Students from different sections of Class VI participated in it and presented a string of melodious devotional songs. The highlight of the competition was 100% participation from each section of Class VI. The activity not only aimed at encouraging the budding singing talent but also to inculcate moral values in the students.

FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATION

Students of Classes VI to VIII celebrated the Founder’s Day by participating in a Drawing Competition. The competition was based on the theme ‘My School, My Pride’. Students expressed their love for the school in the form of beautiful and colourful drawings.

TECHNOTHOLON

The school hosted Technothlon – the prestigious annual exam conducted by IIT Guwahati on 16th July 2017, in which our school students along with students from various other schools participated enthusiastically.

GROUP SONG COMPETITION

An Intra Class Group Song Competition was held for the students of Class VI on 29 April 2017 in the school premises. Each section showed their mastery over sur, rhythm, voice modulation and other aspects of singing. The winners and participants were awarded by the Principal Ms Sunita Chopra.

GROUP DANCE COMPETITION

Students of Class VII showcased a rich cultural fervor at the Inter Class Dance Competition held in the school premises on 26 April 2017. Students gave mesmerizing dance performances based on different folk songs including Punjab, Gujarat, Goa and Assam. Each performance won huge applause from the audience. Winners and participants were given away certificates by the Principal, Ms Sunita Chopra.
