INTERHOUSE SPORTS COMPETITION (2022 - 2023)

Competition, in reality, leads to better collaboration. There is success even in failure as it is rarely about winning or losing. It becomes all about the underlying interest and passion and is a learning experience for a better tomorrow . We have always believed that Inter House Competitions bring the students in the vicinity of better talent where they can learn by willingly participating in such events.
Keeping this in view, Inter House Sports Tournament was organised for the students of classes III to V (17 August 2022). The results are –

INTER DPS BASKET BALL TOURNAMENT 2019

The more difficult the victory, the greater the happiness in winning.’
With great delight, we share that Basketball team of DPS Rewari registered its name in golden letters in the archives of DPS Rewari memoirs by securing the First position in the Inter DPS basketball tournament( boys under 14) 2019- 20 out of 14 NCR Delhi region DPS schools. In the tournament
DPS Faridabad secured the second position and DPS Panipat City secured the Third position.

In the ‘Valedictory Ceremony ‘ District Sports Officer , Mr. Paras Ram and Principal Sunita Chopra awarded trophies and medals to the winning teams.

Mas. Parvinder Yadav, student of DPS Rewari was declared as the Best Player of the Tournament.

The school has set up a benchmark for others to imitate. The fun filled 3 days of the tournament finally concluded with joyous
clamour at the rhythmic drum beats coupled with the victorious begul tune by the school band on 5 Oct 2019 in a spectacular manner

ACHIEVEMENT IN SGFI STATE GYMNASTIC TOURNAMENT.

Sneha of class X secured silver medal in SGFI State Gymnastic Tournament held at Rohtak on 17 September 2019.

ACHIEVEMENT IN INTER DPS SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP:

Devakshi Yadav of Class IX did the school proud by winning Gold Medal in Inter DPS Shooting Championship held at Indore on 12 July 2019.

Akshat phogat of class 5A participated in 8 Open National Taekwondo Championship held at Ballabhgarh, Faridabad. He won Gold Medal 🥇 in 21-23 kg and 23-25 kg in both categories.

Achievements in Shooting:

Devakshi of Class VIII did the school proud by her achievements in different Shooting Competitions. She secured Gold medals in North Zone Shooting Championship in Youth (U-18) and Junior (U-21) categories in Jaspal Shooting Range held at Dehradun from 25 September to 1 October 2018.  She also won a Gold in the Shooting Competition held by SGFI State Level U-14 category held at B.R International School, Kurukshetra from 1 October to 4 October 2018. In the CBSE Zonal state games in u-14 category held at S.S International School, Karnal from 5 October to 9 October 2018, she brought laurels to the school by winning a Silver medal.

YOGA SESSION

On the occasion of Sports Day (29th August), a special  Yoga Session  was conducted by a Yoga expert from Patanjali. Students learnt to perform various ‘asanas’ and ‘mudras’. The activity aimed at igniting  passion for fitness and yoga among the students. 

DISTRICT SPORTS EVENTS

The school hosted a number of District sports events in the school premises to identify the budding talent in different sports namely Skating, Basketball(U-17 and U-19 Girls) and Cricket(U-17 Girls) in August 2018.

II RUNNER UP IN INTER DPS SHOOTING COMPETITION

Devakshi Yadav of Class VIII added another feather to the school’s cap of achievements by securing III position in Inter DPS National Shooting Championship 2018 held at DPS Maruti Kunj on 31st July and 1st August 2018.

II POSITION IN NATIONAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Devanshi of Class VIII won a Silver medal in recognition of her outstanding performance in  National Football Tournament organized by School Games Federation of India at Pune in January 2018.

   II POSITION IN TABMA MARTIAL ART STATE                        CHAMPIONSHIP

  • The school earned I Runners Up position in II TABMA Martial Art State Championship held at Rewari in December 2017. Our students did the school proud by winning 12 Gold, 9 Silver and 7 Bronze medal in different categories in Taekwondo. The winners and the coach were awarded in a special assembly held on 12 December 2017.

INTRA SCHOOL TENNIS TOURNAMENT

An Intra School Tennis Tournament was held in the school premises in the month of December 2017 by Deuce Academy. The competition was held in different age groups. Winners of different categories were awarded with medals and certificates.

Inter DPS Basketball Tournament(GIRLS)

The School Basketball Team(Girls) added another feather to the school’s cap of achievements by winning First Runner Up Trophy in the Inter DPS Basketball Tournament held at DPS Bhatinda between 7 Oct to 9 Oct 2017. The school team reached the finals of the tournament after outshining the teams of DPS Jalandhar, DPS Khanna, DPS Bhatinda and DPS Srinagar.

OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN THE NATIONAL OPEN TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP:

Our school students showed an outstanding performance in the National Open Taekwondo Championship held at Ballabhgarh on 21-23 July 2017. Three students bagged Gold medals  and one of the student won a silver medal in different weight categories.

 

PARTICIPATION IN FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The school football team participated in Futsal Fantastic 2017-18, an Inter School Football Championship held at Ramagya School, Noida on 26-28 July 2017.
