Foundation Day Celebration 2023

19 years from it’s inception in 2004, Delhi Public School Rewari continues to be the beacon of knowledge, determination, dedication… enlightening and igniting minds for carving the future flag bearers of our country. The school has lived upto it’s motto “Service before Self” , providing quality education . Being a Dipsite is special as this involves a responsibility to live up to the ideals and sacred values that form the foundation of this institution.
We all take pride to be a part of such an institution which provides upthrust for upliftment to reach the pinnacle of success.
To mark these glorious years and to celebrate The Founders’ Day, a special assembly was conducted where many amazing performances were showcased by the students that included- Presentation of History of School, song , dance etc. There was a lot of excitement among the students who were a part of this extravagant celebration.

Graduation Day Celebration 2023

Our School celebrated Graduation Day on 26th March, 2023 to applaud the young enthusiastic learners of classes II and V. The event commenced with lamp lighting ceremony to evoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The Principal extended a warm welcome to the parents and also highlighted vision of the school and role of parents and teachers in the students’ learning process. The graceful tiny tots of kindergarten and Primary School displayed mesmerising and scintillating performances that included- March Past, Skit , songs etc.

The most important part of the day was the felicitation of young graduates wherein the delighted tiny tots of Class II and young learners of Class V bedecked with sashes , graced the stage.The excellent synergy of the School Band infused a feeling of pride and achievement among the young graduates which was truly fascinating. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for everyone.

Republic Day Celebration 2023

“Patriotism is not only about waving the flag, but is in striving that our country shall be righteous as well as strong. We must think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as an opportunity to do what is right.”
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with great gusto, patriotic zeal and fervour. A special assembly was conducted by the students of class III . They took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity by showcasing their captivating dance and song performances, knowledgeable speeches and interesting quiz session. The audience was enthralled by the mesmerising performances that infused the spirit of togetherness, brotherhood and patriotism among the students as they together saluted the nation.

Special Assembly (Care and Compassion Welfare Organisation)

“The joy that you give to others, is the joy that comes back to you.
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. “
Small acts when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world. Keeping in mind the noble cause of sharing, a donation was made to CNC Welfare, New Delhi that aims at rescuing and rehabilitating animals that have no scope of surviving on the streets. The amount was raised by conducting a successful event (Bal Mela) on Christmas.
The students joined hands in this humanistic long-term initiative enthusiastically and got influenced to develop empathy and compassion towards animals and care for the natural world so that they can make a difference by bringing a positive change.
We always teach our students the true worth of charity and encourage them to be harbingers of social change.
This New Year let’s spread some hope & positivity to light up lives. Its yet another new year, a time when we all experience the joy of sharing, caring, empathy and wishes for a peaceful world.

CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION 2022

With the jingle of the bells resonating, sound of the carols in the wind, the ‘ho-ho’ of Santa and gifts and glee everywhere- ‘Bal Mela’ was an exciting event , organised for the students of classes III to X , that brought a bagful of surprises for everyone.
The students spent a memorable day with their teachers and classmates and enjoyed a day of love, sharing and giving. It was a perfect destination for everyone to rekindle their bonds with so many exciting activities, lip-smacking food on stalls arranged by the teachers and volunteers. The whole atmosphere was painted by christmas decorations and thematic interiors. Caught in the whirl of fun and excitement, the students at the Carnival enjoyed unlimited sprawl of exciting games, competitions, complemented by wonderfully arranged food stalls. It was indeed a fascinating and incredible Christmas for all!

CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION 2022

“Christmas is for joy, for giving and sharing, for laughter, for coming together with family and friends..”
Christmas was celebrated with utmost joy and fervour by the students of classes Nursery to 2 wherein they were told about the birth of Lord Jesus and the legend of Santa Claus. The spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated among the tiny tots. The essence of Christmas came alive when the students participated in a marvellous ‘Christmas Parade’ and the boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on their faces. The delightful celebration also included dancing and sharing the merriment together.

NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY CELEBRATION 2022

“Mathematics is the most beautiful and most powerful creation of the human spirit.” It has been rightly said by Stefan Banach, a famous mathematician.
Mathematics is a powerful tool for global understanding and communication that organises our lives and prevents chaos. It helps us understand the world and provides an effective way of building mental discipline. Mathematics can be fun, challenging and applicable in real life. To celebrate the spirit of mathematical learning, experience the joy of the mathematical sphere and explore various concepts in a creative manner , National Mathematics day was celebrated on 22 Dec 2022, honouring the birth anniversary of Great Mathematician Srinivas Ramanujam. Students of class IX discussed about his life history through a wonderful assembly that also included quizzes, interesting facts etc.

THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION 2022

“The thankful heart opens our eyes to a multitude of blessings that continually surround us.” We must be thankful to what we have, we’ll end up having more.
Thanksgiving is not only about gratitude, but it’s also about giving back by helping everyone.
The celebrations of Thanksgiving Day commenced with students of Class VI conducting the assembly for the day. The Principal and Vice Principal also addressed everyone including the members of support staff, who were invited to the stage and were thanked for their unceasing efforts. They were given a small memento (Thank-you cards ) prepared specially by the art department.
The entire range of festivities was indeed a way of expressing gratitude. The event aimed at inculcating respect for all kinds of job in our students.

CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION 2022

“Every child is a different kind of flower and all together make this world a beautiful garden.”
We were all children once. We all share the desire for the wellbeing of our children, which has always been and will continue to be the most universally cherished aspiration of humankind.
A day marking childhood- Children’s Day was celebrated with grand splendour at DPS, Rewari , to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter, popularly known as ‘Chacha Nehru’. A Special Assembly was conducted by the teachers of classes Nursery to VIII for children with an endearing presentation by the faculty .
The celebration began with an introduction about Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru followed by a power packed performance by the teachers, which included the news, prayer, recitation of poems, fun games, singing and dancing. The students were buzzing with excitement and joy as they enjoyed every moment of the day.

GURUPURAB CELEBRATION 2022

Guru Nanak Jayanti was celebrated with great exuberance, pride and gaiety . A special assembly was conducted by the students of classes Nursery to 5 to mark the occasion. They came dressed in traditional Sikh attire and recited Gurbani. The teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji were also shared with them through various speeches and prayers. They were encouraged to follow the path of universal brotherhood and peace to promote national integration and communal harmony. This was an effort to inculcate moral values in the students and to make them aware about the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It was a great enriching experience for all.

ANNUAL FUNCTION 2022

An extravaganza Mega Annual Day was celebrated with electrifying enthusiasm on 21 Oct 2022 in the school campus. The mega event included Award Ceremony, Sapno ka Udhan khatola- A flight into dreamland presented by primarywing, Rituparv- Celebration of life, which was a musical dancedrama showcasing different seasons of life and the art of enjoying each and every nuances of life moments embellished in majestic kaleidoscopic sheen of charisma.
The esteemed Chief guest Dr. Hari Krishna Paliwal, Member of Managing Committee, DPS Rewari felicitated proud scholars in the realm of academic and extra curricular activities with trophies and Badges of honour. His words of wisdom were motivating and inspiring for the august gathering. The event was also graced by Members of DPS Rewari Management, Shri. Aditya Paul Lakhanpal and Shri. Sharad Gulyani. The Principal, Sunita Chopra presented the Annual Report for the session 2021-2022.
In the Award Ceremony Aditya Paul Marker Award was conferred to Science Topper Teena, Gulyani Excellence Award was conferred to Commerce Topper, Lavanya Mehta and Risal Singh Gulia Award was felicitated to District topper of Humanities, Harshita Rao. The scholars who secured position in different coveted colleges ( IIT Delhi, IIT kanpur, IIT Mumbai, NLU) and aced prestigious competitive educational knacks were awarded 21 Oct 2022 Distinguished Awards to adding a successful dimensions to the institution as a Citadel of Excellency with their wonderful feats.
The performances of primary students in an expedition to Dreamland added colorful vibrant hues to the event. In Ritu Parv- Celebration of life students of Middle and Senior Wing presented charismatic performances on theme of variable festivals which gave goosebumps to the audience. The words were less to explain the spell bound ecstatic moments woven by the students on the stage with their dance moves. All the parents applauded the efforts of the student and it concluded with the Vote of Thanks by the Vice Principal, Deepika Chawala followed up by the National Anthem.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2022

The propitious occasion of Investiture Ceremony 2022-23 was celebrated with electrifying enthusiasm on 17 Aug 2022. The members of the Student Council were officially entrusted with power and responsibilities by the Principal, Sunita Chopra and Vice Principal, Deepika Chawla with an invigorating spirit. In the speech, the Principal guided students to always follow the path of righteousness in a cognizant manner to observe powers directed in the favour of institutional progress
where each and every student flourish by learning from each other in an amiable ecosystem.
The March Past of School Houses- Creators, Achievers, Leaders and Motivators lead by Head Boy Raghav Sharma and Head Girl Khushi Yadav was an entralling moment. The ceremony concluded with National Anthem.

KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION 2022

Students of classes Nursery to II were dressed up as Krishna and Radha to celebrate Janamashtami with great devotion and fidelity. Fragrance of flowers and tinkle of bells ameliorated the school environment. The corridors were embellished with bright paintings and vibrant flowers. The students brought the stage to life by their scintillating dance performances, poems and speeches. They also enchanted bhajans in the chorus for Lord Krishna. This celebration was a great success as it filled everyone’s hearts with joy, happiness and contentment.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2022

“Freedom in the mind…Faith in the words…Pride in our souls.”
The celebrations of 75th Independence Day have already commenced ! Students of classes IV and V filled with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour , popped up in tricolour, and paid tribute to those who fought for our freedom through their wonderful and meaningful speeches, dance performances and poems on 12th August, 2022.
As Mahatma Gandhi said, “The future depends on what we do in the present!” So let’s pledge to make ourselves fair-minded, fearless and faithful and salute the commitment and contribution of all the brave ones !

RAKSHA BANDHAN 2022

Relationships are the essence of any festivity and it holds true for any Indian festival. Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of one such relation – that of a pious bond between a brother and a sister.
On this auspicious occasion, the students of class III organised a wonderful assembly on 10th August, 2022 with great ardour and gaiety.
They displayed amazing energy levels to organize a very entertaining programme comprising various performances like – group dance, song, poem recitation and a skit which highlighted the significance of Raksha Bandhan and made them understand the true essence of this festival. This also conveyed the message of purity, unmatched bond of love, care and respect between siblings. It was a delightful celebration for students which made the environment full of joy and love.

COMMFIESTA (COMMERCE FEST) 2022

Commfiesta 2022 (Commerce Fest), an eagerly awaited two day event was organised by the Department of Commerce on 4th and 5th August, 2022. Various inter-school competitions were held during the fest including Shark Tank, Mad Ad, Commerce Quiz, Rocket Singh, Guru Bhai. These were specially curated by the students, keeping in mind the real-world business needs that would enable them to think on their feet, ideate, collaborate, present their stand points, pitch, lobby and wriggle out of crises.
The aim of this event was to provide a platform for the students to exhibit their talents in various competitions and for gaining success in the fields of commerce and business. It also thrived to enhance the commercial acumen of individuals from diverse disciplines.
There was an overwhelming and enthusiastic participation by all the schools in all the competitions and each one of them battled it out in great competitive spirit. The event was diligently organized and immensely appreciated by one and all.

Gala Celebration: Scholar Badge Ceremony and Annual Fete- Winter Carnival

Scholar Badge Ceremony for the academic Session 2018-19 and Annual Fete coupled with Pre- Primary Wing’s Winter Carnival was observed with riveting gusto in the school premises on 22 Dec 2019. Pro- Vice Charman Shri Ramesh Gulia and the Principal Sunita Chopra felicitated the Academic Scholars with badges and trophies. Harshvardhan (XI) received special accolades for his splendid Academic record and for qualifying highly prestigious National Talent Search Examination(NTSE), Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO), Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY). Achievers’ trophies were conferred to the students who secured the placements in coveted professional Institutes. The inauguration of the magazine ‘Roots and Wings’ for the academic session 2018 – 19 was done by the respected Ramesh Gulia sir and the Principal mam. The Winter Carnival of the Pre-Primary tiny tots added jingling festive fervor of Christmas in the sprawling ground of the school and mesmerized the parents with their cute Christmas Parade donned as angels, fairies, stars, reindeers etc . The gala annual fete added laughter and excitement to the day. An array of innovative game stalls, sumptuous food stalls, adventurous camel ride, swings and selfie corner added cheerful enthusiasm and colours to the event. The artistic talent of the students in the cultural fiesta was applauded by everyone. The main attraction of the event ‘LUCKY DRAW’ which included 60 MEGAPRIZES and three BUMPER PRIZES further added charismatic pleasure, fun and frolic to the event.

Investiture Ceremony - Senior Wing

The most propitious ceremonial occasion of the school ‘Investiture ceremony’ of the academic session 2019-20 was held today where the newly elected Student Council members swore in for their responsibilities to lead their school from the front with dedication, commitment and competence. The newly elected student council was vested with badges and sashes. The New House Bearers also took an oath to perform their duties with sincerity and to uphold the dignity and honour of the school. Many congratulations to all these young pupil leaders .

“Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It’s about impact, influence and inspiration.”….. Glorifying the primary wing, our young leaders of different houses were honoured with prefect badges during’Investiture Ceremony’ on 3rd August 2019.

Founder's Day Celebration

We the members of DPS feel immensely proud to share that today on 19th April, 2019, we celebrated our 15th Founder’s Day with a lot of activities in each class.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Independence day was celebrated in the school premises with great zeal and spirit befitting the occasion. The program began with unfurling of tricolor by the Principal, Ms. Sunita Chopra. Thereafter, a Group Song competition based on the theme ‘Patriotism’ was held for the students of Class X. The melodious songs presented by the students earned huge applause from the audience. The program came to an end with a motivating speech by the Principal. She urged today’s generation to value the freedom we have secured after the sacrifices of many..


SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON EARTH DAY

“We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”

 

On the occasion of Earth Day, the children of DPS Rewari  joined hands in taking a pledge to make the Mother Earth a better place to live. A plethora of activities were conducted to mark this day. Special Assemblies were held in which talks on Earth day were held.

GRADUATION CEREMONY

The school stage reverberated with enthusiasm and excitement when it celebrated its Graduation Ceremony for the students of Class II. The little children from pre-primary wing also participated in the ceremony and kept the audience captivated with their enthralling performances. The graduation ceremony was conducted by giving away the Graduation Caps and scrolls to Class II students standing on the threshold to take the challenges of formal schooling beginning at Class III. It was a touching and joyful moment for the children and their parents.

ENGLISH DRAMA FEST

The English Drama Fest was held from 16th December to 22nd December 2017 for classes IV and V. Each section of IV and V put up a one act play based on stories like Hansel and Gretel, Red Riding Hood and A Christmas Carol. With the entire class participating, teamwork was enhanced and so were the communication skills. The children also familiarized themselves with various stories and writers. An enthusiastic and proud parade of parents and a few grandparents not only cheered but also motivated the amateur actors.

THANKS GIVING DAY

Thanksgiving, a festival of gratitude and appreciation, was celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. The school children seized this opportunity to express their heartfelt thanks to their peers, teachers and helpers in the school. They made beautiful cards for the non-teaching staff including drivers, conductors, maids and cleaning staff and expressed their gratitude towards them for their selfless services.

FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATION

School’s Founder’s Day was celebrated on 19th April 2017 with full pomp and show in the school premises. Students of the junior block participated in a special assembly in which a few cultural performances were given by the students. Students also sang the school song signifying the undying spirit of DPS students to strive for excellence. Students of the Middle block participated in a Essay Writing Competition on the topic – “My School, My Pride”. while senior school celebrated the day by participating in a Cleanliness drive.
